Biography

A surgeon who thinks like an engineer.

Dr. Aria Vance trained across Cambridge, Johns Hopkins and the Karolinska Institute before joining the University Hospital Zurich, where she now leads the Cardio-Robotics Lab. Her work blends precision surgery with computational modeling, translating algorithmic insights into protocols used by clinicians across Europe and Asia.

She has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed papers, co-founded two med-tech ventures, and continues to take a small private practice — believing that great research must stay anchored to the patients it claims to help.
